How to pack your hard drive

What type of hard drive do you have? If your hard drive is from a desktop PC, it is likely you will have a 3.5″ hard drive. A 2.5″ hard drive is generally found in a laptop. See the sample images opposite.

1. Packing the hard drive

Lay the hard drive on a sheet of bubble wrap.

Fold the bubble wrap around the drive.

Fold the ends of the bubble wrap over the drive.

Place the drive in a suitable cardboard container.

Roll up pieces of bubble wrap and pack around the drive to reduce vibration.

Place your packing note in the box and seal the box.
